Sandy Heritage Festival: Bring yourself and family down and have fun commemorating Sandy's heritage. Enjoy free food, entertainment, a vintage car show and inflatables for the kids. Saturday, 10am-2pm, Main Street Park, 90 East 8720 South, Sandy.
A Celebration of Community in Riverton: Families can head to Riverton City Main Park for a day of fun, food, games, and freebies. Local businesses are on hand handing out free stuff, and the city offers up free hot dogs, balloons, a car show, and a community walking event. Saturday, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. at the Riverton City Main park located at 1450 West 12800 South.
Brazilian Festival: Join The Gateway and Tucano's as they celebrate the 2nd annual Brazilian Festival and Parade on Saturday, September 19th. The event is free to the public from 1pm-6pm. Enjoy live music, Brazilian food, art, games, giveaways and more. Go here for more information.
Utah State Fair: Features of the 2009 Utah State Fair include exhibits, cooking contests, clowns, carnival rides, family fun contests, evening concerts, and rodeos. “Utah's Own” food court features Utah-based businesses dishing up home-grown food. 9th and 9th Street Festival: Held at the intersection of 900 South and 900 East in Salt Lake City, this event has become something where everyone from the city converges to enjoy food, fun and music. This year's event will be held all day and promises to be better than ever with an amazing line-up of performers, an eclectic mix of local artists, and purveyors of fine foods. Something fun for both children and adults! This is a celebration of a neighborhood put on by neighbors. It's free, it's fun! Bring the dog, the kids, the stroller and join for a wonderful event.
