On a whim, my good friend Shantell and I decided to hit a couple stores last night. We went to Target and Dick's. We had to get that free chicken!

They were all out of cheese sticks at Target, but I really needed cheese, so I opted to get these 8-oz packages for $1.49 and used the $1/2 coupon. The coupon didn't scan at the register, but after a little polite encouraging, the checker entered it manually. The boxes of Cocoa Puffs cereal were $2.54, instead of the $1.99 at many other Target locations, but I decided that .54 was an alright deal. I purchased 11 items and my total came to $4.97 with tax. I saved 75%!

The chicken coupon worked beautifully at Dick's! They even let us have the penny overage. I bought 12 items and paid $7.85 and saved 57%!

Overall I paid $12.82 for $38.62 in groceries, which represents a 67% savings!

The chicken coupon has been pulled unless you could tell me if it is under a different zip code. I saw it last night and gone today 🙁

I don't know how you got Dick's to honor your coupons. The people at the Layton Dick's would not honor them because they would not use a store coupon and a manufactures coupon together I stood there and talked to them nicely and politely and they would not even try to scan them to see if they would work. They would not use the chicken coupon either because it was for $1.00 and the chicken was .99 I left so frustrated with nothing. I don't know how you were able to give Dick's such a high grade. They were very rude and not willing to even try!!!! Very Very frustrating.

Theres a better deal for cereal at Target than the Walgreens ad match! Check your local AFS flyer… mine is Maceys. They're cereal (Lucky Charms, which I've been CRAVING is one of the one pictured) is priced at $1.68 this week. I price matched that and used the $1 Target Q and the $1/2 manny… I paid 80 cents for 4 boxes of Lucky Charms. Told me neighbor about it and she's going in for a dozon boxes. =)

By the way, Jessica, I always have MAJOR issuses when trying to comment. I have to submit my comment 3 times before it will take it. Always.
