Here is the full GrocerySmarts list for the Smith's sale this week. Check out the complete ad here. There are several things that will be a fantastic deal with the double coupon event going on through Tuesday.

I encourage you to take all your coupons and to just take some time to go around the store and see if you find any great deals!

Note: because Smith's isn't using paper coupons to double, we'll need to adhere to the rule of not doubling coupons that say DO NOT DOUBLE!

I am really not sure if Smith's stores are prepared for this promotion. I spent some time calling several stores this weekend and most managers had no clue they were doubling coupons! It worries me that we're going to see a lot of empty shelves… and a lot of frustrated shoppers soon afterwards.

All Smith's stores should be participating (not sure about Smith's Marketplace stores.) I recommend calling with any questions before heading down to shop. Go here to find out the number for your local Smith's store. I'd also take the newspaper insert just in case you run into a checker who isn't aware of the details.

I think the registers are already ready for this. They will automatically double coupons. So I don't think the stores need to do anything for this.

I went today and the registers did automatically double the coupons, except they do NOT allow overages. (Is this "no overages" policy normal for Smiths??) For example, the 9.5 oz Starbucks Frappuccino's are on sale for $1.25. There was a $1 printable coupon online (somewhere… can't remember which site) so I thought I'd end up with 75 cents overage after doubling, however the register automatically took only the additional 25 cents off. There was no limit to the number of coupons you could double though.

I found a couple of other things –

You had on your site a Palmolive/Ajax printable coupon for 1.00 just recently. It is priced at 1.99 at Smiths for a big 34 oz bottle – doubled = free

Sure Mens deodorant was priced at 1.80 – 1.00 coupon (or was it 1.25?) – doubled = free

    Ortega 4oz Green Chile Can was priced at 1.29 – 1.00 coupon off 2 – double = 0.29 each

Mentos Gum priced at 1.00 – 55 cents coupon – doubled = free

Dannon Activa 4 pack yogurt on sale for 1.88 – 1.00 coupon – double = free

    Nalley Hamburger Dill Chips 46 fl oz 2.99 – 1.00 – double = 0.99 for a big jar of pickles 🙂

Hope that helps a little bit…

Just got back from Smith's and realized to my dismay that my coupons were NOT doubled! May have something to do with the fact that the computer didn't take my FreshValues number and I had to go to customer service to get my cash back which did not include the doubled coupons. I was shopping with the kids so it got a little hectic at the checkout, I asked twice if my coupons were doubling, was told yes, so I didn't worry about it. Well I should have! Sending the receipt back with my husband to see if they'll work it out.

I'm new to this but the 20 count tampax tampons are 1.99 if you buy 4. I used the 1.00 off coupons in the p&g booklet from February for 2 free boxes and then 2 .50 cents off doubled for .99 a box pretty good deal. $1.98 for 80 tampons.

So I found your post this morning at 1:00 am and I was tempted to run to the car and go right then. But I waited a few hours. This is what I got (using double coupons, e-savers, pharmacy prescription transfer credit and clearance items).

32 jars baby food, 2 pack of Pantene shampoo/cond, 2 herbal essence hairspray, 1 El Monterey Tornados, 1 Aussie shampoo, 6 rolls Bounty Paper towels, 12 rolls Cottonelle TP, 4 salad dressings, 3 Fels Naptha bars, 1 skintimate shave cream, 1 arm and hammer washing soda, 2 degree deo, 4 right guard deo, 2 always pads, 2 tampax tampons, 1 playtex tampons, 1 ob tampons, 2 pert shampoo, 1 ouchless headband.

    Out of pocket price: $20.50

PLUS, the El Mont. Tornados have a mail-in rebate of either $5 coupons or cash rebate. I'll take the cash $2.50

    Grand total: $18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found this great in the store deal. Wonder bread is BOGO free at 2.99 each. And on the bread I found $0.55 cent off coupons. Double those and use two of them that makes the bread $0.40 each!!!!
