Family Adventure to Mantua Reservoir–a 5 Mile Biking/Walking Nature Path

We went up to the Mantua reservoir to take a nice bike ride and walk around the lake. It is such pretty scenery and the kids had so much fun riding their bikes. The only downside to our walk, is we went right at sundown, so the mosquitos were crazy bad! This path is located up around the reservoir in Mantua (located just a little ways up Sardine Canyon past Brigham City.)

You can fish along the lake in designated spots, and we even spotted a rope swing. Some people get swimmers itch swimming in the water. Our kids have never had it after going in. The path and all the areas around Mantua reservoir are free to use. They also have a campground close by if you want to stay longer. Rattlesnakes have been spotted on the hills along this path, so make sure to take careful precautions.

They have one outhouse bathroom at the beginning of the path, and one along the way. It is almost 5 miles completely around. It took us about 1.5 hours to complete it. Our kids were riding their bikes, and we were walking. If we all would have been on bikes it would have been much faster. If you go at sundown, make sure to take mosquito repellent!
