Join us for a magical holiday experience – This Is The Place Heritage Park is celebrating Christmas with their famous quiet Candlelight Christmas December 8-23 (except Sundays) from 5pm to 9pm.

Christmas used to be slower and a time to celebrate the peace and purpose of the season. Now it seems to go by in a Black Friday rush! Observe a Christmas of over a Century ago – quieter, simpler, fun for all. Slow down, take a stroll through streets ringing with music and make Candlelight Christmas part of your cherished family traditions. Bundle up and join us for an event you'll be talking about for years to come…street corner fires where people gather to warm up and visit with each other.

Visit Father Christmas and see if your name is on the Naughty or Nice list! Step into the Livery, where the Live Nativity will remind you of why we celebrate the season. Write a letter to Santa and make candles, garlands and other festive crafts. Take a cozy wagon ride around the festive streets under the starry skies and enjoy many more activities.  The sounds of Christmas fill the air as the Heritage Singers share the fun and joy of the season in song and dance.2015-12-04_11-25-15

Take home a little bit of Christmas by joining in the fun of making crafts and homemade gifts in one of the decorated historic homes or pioneer cabins. And you can save all your holiday shopping for your visit to the Park.  Visit the ZCMI Candy and Gift Shop, it's filled with treats and adorable gifts for children. You'll be surprised to see how this little shop has changed! Brigham's Donuts is open and the Huntsman Grill has delicious soups and tasty food. Shop at the Visitor Center Gift Shop where you'll find an amazing selection of gifts that are heartfelt and unique! Get ready to deliver some cheer!

My favorite holiday tradition is to go to the nativity at the Glen. My 3 year old loves it now, and remembers going last year. It’s a neat tradition.

My faverite Christmas activity is taking the family for a drive to see the lights – we like the display at Thanksgiving Point, and “Christmas Street” in SLC.

I definitely love This Is The Place State Park at Christmas – I went last year for the first time and it was wonderful. I also really enjoyed driving through Christmas In Color in Kearns this year!

The attractions we like are Zoo Lights and Temple Square. I have been thinking about This Is The Place Heritage Park! We have not been yet.

I love going to This Is The Place we’ve gone many years as a family. They have such a wonderful nativity and I usually tear up a bit as we go though.

Favorite Utah Christmas traditions include cutting down our own Christmas tree in the Manti Canyon and of course, lights at Temple Square!
