I found this great Pin the lists “10 Ways to Keep Your Toddler Entertained.” Kudos to the blogger behind, Learning Through Play! Now, Leah's no toddler, she's not even a kinda-sorta walker yet. However, I tried this idea for making a mini-toy bucket out of a wipes container and holy hannah- why didn't someone tell me about this before?!? I made it to baby #4 before realizing how awesome these old bins of wipes could be?! I mean, we store stuff in them like Crayons and such. But making it into a toy? Never, until now!

She suggests filling it with milk caps… I didn't have a giant supply of milk caps, so I just put whatever caps I could find, plus a few more small toys and voila- best. toy. ever. It took her only a few minutes to realize there were toys inside and that she could stick her hand in and get them. Since then, it's awesome. It's gotten to the point where we can shake it in one room and she'll come crawling just as fast as her little chubby legs can move her. It's smallish, so I don't feel like we're lugging this giant toy from room to room. It changes as we swap out toys and lids, etc. I'm sure it's developing some form of hand-eye coordination of some sort. Winner.

And it's FREE.

If you don't have one of these bins of wipes, grab a coupon and buy one. Or ask your neighbors for one- I'm sure someone close by has one! I had 3 empties sitting around, just waiting for me to have this epiphany.

There are several activities on this list that look like fun. Try them- “10 Ways to Keep Your Toddler Entertained.” Enjoy!

You can make a story time bin put of it also. Put small stuffed animals, dolls or toys in there. Let the child pull an item put and start making up a story, have them keep pulling items out until your story is done. There's a different story every single time.
