What did you have dinner last night? We had Lettuce Wraps! They were yummy, like always, and the kids devoured them up! This is one of our go-to recipes. It's healthy, full of protein, fast and easy, budget friendly and a family favorite.
I love it when people share their go-to family favorite recipes, so here's one of mine. I hope you enjoy!
Asian Lettuce Wraps
Here's what you'll need:
1-2 lbs Ground Turkey
Small onion, chopped
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1 pkg Broccoli Slaw
1 can Water Chestnuts, diced
1/2 cup Kikkoman Original Teriyaki Sauce with sesame seeds
Brown the Ground Turkey, with the onion, in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Drain any excess fat and season with salt, pepper and garlic salt.
Add the Garlic, Broccoli Slaw, Teriyaki sauce and chopped Water Chestnuts.
Stir to combine and cook for 15 minutes to heat through.
Serve wrapped up in your favorite Lettuce.
I've tried this with both Romaine Lettuce and Iceberg. I like the Iceberg better as it's a crispier leaf, but both are great! If you wanted to add some healthy fat, saute the onion and ground beef in a little Olive Oil. Enjoy!
