Have you started your Christmas shopping? I hope I’m not the only one! Maybe you think I am crazy, but I have learned from experience that if I wait until really close to Christmas I get way too stressed (and end up spending more!) I have not only been getting things lately, but all throughout the year. But don’t fret! There is still enough time to save a lot if you haven’t started yet.
Here are 3 Tips on how to save this Christmas:
1. Plan Now. Start now and decide what you want to buy, and SET A BUDGET. And then don’t go over it. I know as parents we like to see the excitement in our kids eyes, but you don’t have to buy a ton to make Christmas fun and magical. It’s not worth it to go thousands of dollars into debt.
3. Don’t procrastinate. Procrastinating is setting yourself up for failure. You always spend more when you are forced to get something. Start thinking about what gifts to get for neighbors, co-workers, teachers, parents, siblings, friends, kids/spouses. And then watch for sales! I know the times I have already bought, for example, neighbor gifts far in advance, it makes it so nice and less stressful during the holidays. Try it!
I promise I am not trying to skip over Halloween or Thanksgiving, but in my opinion it’s the best time to buy the bulk of your Christmas presents. This way you can still control what you are paying because you can wait for a sale and aren’t having to just go get it because you’re out of time.
The best way to manage and save money is to PLAN AHEAD! I can’t stress that enough.
If you think about it, there really is only about 5 or 6 more paydays until Christmas if you get paid every two weeks, so this doesn’t give you a ton of time.

I am starting to see more and more deals on toys and gifts, so be sure to check my blog everyday. You can also sign up for my email list to get the run down of all the deals I’ve posted. But make sure also check the blog and facebook because some deals are HOT and sell out fast. You can also set the notifications on facebook to always show my stuff right away.
I literally do MOST of my Christmas shopping online, the bulk being from Amazon. But I also like some of the toys they have at Costco, Kohl’s, Target, and Walmart. I like buying clothes from Old Navy because they offer a lot of promotions and I have a Navyist card, so I get free shipping on every order.
I like to stick to the retailers where I can get free shipping on any order, so I don’t have to worry about buying a minimum amount.

Today, Amazon just released their Christmas toy list guide, and are putting things on sale already! If you go here and scroll down just a bit, you can see all the lightning deals happening on toys. Right now is the best time to buy things for Christmas, before all the crazy hits (with a few exceptions being if you are waiting for something specific on Black Friday.)
Although there are a lot of great deals on BF, the times I have got the very best deals, haven’t been on Black Friday. So keep that in mind! I also wanted to let you guys know I have some pretty amazing giveaways planned for Thanksgiving/Christmas time and I can’t wait to tell you what they are! And of course, I will be doing all I can to make sure you guys catch incredible deals and save lots. (Keep my site on speed dial! ;))
I’d love to hear from you! What deals are you looking for specifically this Christmas? Please tell me in the comments.
Happy Savings! (And Good Luck)
Just FYI, Kohl’s is also offering some crazy good deals on toys right now. Go here to see the sale I posted about yesterday.
