Our trip to D.C. was filled with lots of fun, humidity, and crying. Not all from the kids either. No, but really–traveling is so fun, but can be a little challenging with three little kids. Not to mention my brother and his wife also have three littles. So, we had 6 kids in tow between the two families going to all the downtown D.C. sites. It was a little crazy to say the least, but it was an awesome experience.
The thing that was neat about D.C., was that most the attractions were free. And they were awesome– monuments, zoos, museums galore. However, parking was a nightmare. Like a serious nightmare. Let’s just say, I’m happy to be home in quiet little Utah. πŸ™‚

What are you doing fun with your family this summer? This is definitely not a usual thing for my family to go on such an extravagant (for us) trip. We usually just go camping. πŸ™‚ It was nice to go and visit my brother and his family who live in Herndon, Virginia. We have never been there in the seven years they have lived there, so it was great to go see them. I want to hear about your summer adventures! Especially frugal trips your family has gone on and love. (This trip wasn’t so frugal for us, but we had been saving up for it for a while πŸ™‚ Hope you’re all having a great summer!
