The 14 Utah Bloggers, 14 Utah Adventures bloggers round is a way for you to find out about some cool places to visit in Utah. Each of us wrote about our town and shared it with another blogger and my town is Ogden, Utah. Be sure to visit all the other blogs to discover new places!
Ogden has had a bad rap in the past but little Ogden has shed its ugly duckling past and has blossomed into one super cool town. I have lived in many cities large and small around the country and when I stumbled upon Ogden I finally felt home. This little mountain town has everything I love about my favorite cities- small town neighborly love, great coffee, a cool music scene, great restaurants, fun events and of course those breathtaking views. A day trip to Ogden is worth the drive and there’s plenty to do and see during your visit. Check out my picks for the 10 things you must see and do during your visit to O-town.
Ogden Nature Center– This beautiful nature sanctuary is full of wildlife and there are educators there to teach you all about the animals and plants you may spot on your walk.
Treehouse Museum– A fun interactive museum full of exciting exhibits and hands on learning. Dress up, create art and get all your wiggles out before hitting the town.
Hill Aerospace Museum– A FREE museum full of history and exciting machinery.
Ogden River Parkway– A beautiful way to see Ogden on foot or by bike. Take a stroll along the river, have a picnic or stop in the botanical center to learn about local plants.
Ogden’s Union Station– 3 museums in one! This historic train station houses a fun train museum, a classic car museum and the Browning firearm museum. Outside you can get up close and personal with some trains on display.
Historic 25th Street– Stroll along this Historic downtown and check out all the cute shops and restaurants. I recommend stopping in Grounds for coffee for a drink and Queen bee for a sweet treat.
Birdsong Trail– Birdsong trail is my favorite place to take visitors, an easy trail to walk on with killer views of Ogden. After you can check out Rainbow Gardens and try a famous Mormon muffin.
Farr’s Ice cream– This retro ice cream parlor is so fun to stop in for photo. Try house made ice cream and vintage candy at an iconic Utah spot.
Alleged– This rooftop bar is the perfect place to get a good view of Ogden. Sip a drink, named after Ogden’s own rebels and rabble rousers, on the roof of this historic building and watch the sunset.
Front Climbing Club– Learn to rock climb indoors at this award-winning gym. With floor to ceiling windows you can enjoy the view of the outdoors while climbing from the safety of the indoor rock walls.
