Lazy Day of Summer

The countdown is on for the “S” word. Nope, not that S word- the other one. SCHOOL. I can see it. The big Summer finish line that kids dread and parents simultaneously love and hate. Schedules. Packing lunches. Quiet afternoons filled with children studiously doing the homework. Ok, that last one might be a stretch. At any rate, we have less than a month left of our summer, so today we’ve been taking a break from most everything and trying to simply enjoy it.

What’s more enjoyable than playing in the sprinklers while eating Otter Pops? Not much, in my opinion.

Enjoy a small glimpse into our day…

My daughter’s idea of running/ cringing through the sprinklers.
She *thinks* she wants to get wet, but she’s not quite sure…
My oldest son. He’s a Marketing-Guru in training.
Watch out Otter-Pop execs- in 15 years, he’ll be sending in his resume.
Our friend approached the sprinklers with much more gusto!
See, white boys CAN jump!

That's great! I love all the pictures. Put a big smile on my face. I can't believe school is starting so soon…
